I pursued higher studies at Kerala Kalamandalam. I learned classical dance from a very young age. As I grew up, I aspired to become a dancer. I used to accompany him to the theaters and drama sets and get inspired from their acting techniques. He was also an actor in local theater groups. It was my father Abdul Salam who sowed in me the passion for cinema. Even if you take a group of people hailing from a same village, they might be wearing similar costumes but their characters and way of conduct are indeed different. On the other hand, acting makeover needs a level of hard work, passion and flair. Physical makeovers are rather an easy way of transforming yourself. All of them might be flaunting sarees, all of them might have long hair but their personalities are different. Malini of 'Ramante Eden Thottam' is entirely different from Anitha of 'Captain.' Now, Sreeja has a personality of her own. See, each of my characters are different from one another. One question that I face almost everyday in my career is why I don't choose experimental characters that demand a makeover. I was already nervous thinking I am going to act opposite a superstar. The warmth I felt in his words calmed me. I was speaking to him for the first time and yet it felt as through we were familiar with each other for several years. “Anu, we have to make our movie a grand success,” he told me. When I finally finished my practice, she told me that I have been cast as heroine in Vyasan KP's next flick. She visited my dance class and waited all the time outside while I was practicing. It was Seetha, a friend of mine, who said she has a surprise for me. Meanwhile, Biju Menon has Rosapoo and Orayiram Kinakalal as his upcoming movies.I landed in 'Shubharathri' quite unexpectedly. And Padayottam is the fourth production venture from Weekend Blockbusters after Banglore Days, Kaadu Pookkunna Neram and Mohanlal’s superhit movie Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, Most probably the movie will hit theatres during Vishu.More details about the movie will be out soon. And also Anusree is rumored to be the heroine of the movie. Dileesh Pothen, Sudhi Kopa, and Hareesh Kanaran are part of the cast. Prasanth Raveendran is the cinematographer of this movie while Ratheesh Raj is the editor.
The Heroine and remaining cast of the movie is yet to decide. And the actor will join the sets of the movie from February third week. And also Biju Menon will be speaking in the Trivandrum slang for the first time in the movie. And also it will be a Gangster comedy movie. The movie will be a Family entertainer which will give importance to Comedy. Padayottam is the debut individual directorial film of Rafeek Ibrahim. A.R and Ajay Rahul, the film has music by Prashant Pillai and lyrics by Hari Narayanan. Padayottam Movie is produced by Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters. Rafeek Ibrahim is a former associate of filmmaker Jayan Vannery. The movie went on floors in Trivandrum recently. Padayottam is expected to be high on humour where Biju Menon plays a thug based in Thiruvananthapuram who sets out on a journey along with his gang to Kasargod. The other prominent names added to the star cast are directors Lijo Jose Pellissery and Basil Joseph where the latter will be mouthing Thiruvananthapuram dialect in the movie. According to a close source of the production, Anu Sithara has been signed up to play a guest appearance in director Rafeeq Ibrahim’s comic entertainer.
